NOT MY F*CKING HOLIDAY.

Ugenia Stokes and Photographer Ash Daniels come together on July 4th weekend to launch a photography series: NOT MY F*CKING HOLIDAY Both members of two marginalized groups, Ugenia being a black female artist and Ash a transgender male, come together to discuss a moving and charged topic of contention. The podcast focuses on triumph, struggle, connection, having a seat at each other’s table, and discovering what it means to own our crown. After Ugenia was imprisoned for being falsely accused in January of 2019, she turned trauma into an expression of art through stand up comedy. With the help of Ash, the two collaborated to create a work that embodies traumatic experience; to the last powerful image displaying the names and giving respect to all those “BLACK LIVES” who were killed by police brutality.
